I’m a bit angry about the name changes, to be honest. It’s like they are trying to sweep it under the rug or something by calling a war the "Overseas Contingency Operation". What the heck is that supposed to mean?
People are dying in greater numbers. Troupes are being recalled into service and sent over there. Things are escalating.
Call it whatever you want, we are still in a war and are people supposed to suddenly begin pretending we are not in a war with this name thing?
That is just like renaming terrorism to "man called disasters".

It sounds like we are a bunch of kindergartners who need to call a visit to the bathroom "going to the potty" or something.
I guess it’s all part of the mass hypnosis reconditioning that seems to be going on. Do you think Americans are being reconditioned into mass mesmerized robotic people who no longer care? Things will be so softened for you all that your passion and then soon your very rights and freedoms will be just taken away. You’ll have names changed to protect and cushion you and then suddenly it will all no longer matter?

Laura darling, I don’t view this war as my revenge for 9/11. Not sure why you have that idea. Obama is the one who has taken this thing on and renamed it and is picking up things in Afghanistan.
I hate war and think we should never be in a war if we can avoid it.

I think it is trying to sweep who are real people behind it. terrorists are trying to kill us. obama doesn’t want people to think that muslims want to kill anyone.
