Former state police officer in court for vehicular homicide
On Monday, a judge ruled that the internal affairs investigation into former state police officer Alfred Lovato can not be used in court. Lovato is facing a vehicular homicide charge for a deadly collision in November 2008.
Former state police Sergeant Alfred Lovato has a hefty personnel file containing documents of interviews regarding his roll in the 2008 hit and run that killed William Tenorio.
But after a meeting behind closed doors with prosecutors and Lovato’s attorney Monday, the judge decided he won’t be allowing any of those files to be used as evidence in a trial.
Judge Michael Vigil says there were some new interviews conducted by state police that had not been introduced as evidence during the trial of Carlos Fierro, the person driving the car that hit Tenorio. But the judge said, for the most part, much of the information became public during Carlos Fierro’s trial.
Lovato, who was assigned to the governor’s security detail at the time, was the passenger in the car. Fierro, the driver, was convicted of vehicular homicide last year. Lovato is still facing the same charges as Fierro, as prosecutors argue he did nothing to stop him from drinking and driving that night.
Jury selection for Lovato’s trial is set for May.

What is your job like as a US Army Psychological Operations Specialist?
I am looking for what I should expect to do in this MOS. I have heard about driving the speaker truck around, but I have also heard of doing research/gathering human intel. Personal experiences only please.

Sorry to not be able to speak personally but I went to MOS school with the PSYOP guys. I am a civil affairs specialist and us CA guys and PSYOP guys attend the same AIT, do the same field training in AIT, the only difference being is different classroom instruction. They spend a lot of their time making what they call "products" which are items, posters, labels, or anything useful to get the local populace onto our side of the fight. They participate in humanitarian aid missions with us CA guys a lot and the idea is to get the children onto our side as they are the future of Iraq/Afghanistan so we work hand in hand with them to help facilitate that. They also have more tactical groups which go outside the wire a lot on the active duty side and I have heard they also have a ranger detachment. Active duty PSYOP has to go to jump school too. PSYOP does get deployed fairly often so get ready for that. Once every two or three years I believe just like civil affairs. Again this is just my observations from what I have seen in my MOS school/ Iraq.

Is anyone else tired of the PSYOPS coming out of Hollywood?
I mean, c’mon, can they make it any more obvious?! I’ve seen a bombardment of alien movies and war movies concerning the middle East. Nobody wants this crazy "New World Order" bull, but a few minority. Will the Mystery Schools ever just give it up already??!!
The movies don’t appeal to me politically, but they are entertaining. It’s important to remember they are just fictional stories.
