What is the career path of a citizen (seeking work with the military) who has enough ability/skills to work for the united states government in the division of psychological operations?
this is specifically for a citizen – i am too old to enlist

I often heard there is a Special Psychological Operation by CIA, MI 6, and Mossad I just read this post

Successful models provide strong influence on other nations looking to compete globally. When you can tell people where to work and how hard to work, it makes the nation a seamless machine. That will always be a threat to capitalism, which relies on inefficiencies of competition and false starts to move forward.

I don’t think that it is mind spinning but a genuine analysis.

I want to join the army, and I’ve looked at the two jobs, and I can’t decide, I’ve compared and stuff, but I would like to do both, is that possible? Please help.
I’m still 16 and in high school, I still have time, and I wanted to be a business major, but I like the physical workout. So I thought psychological would be good for experience, but infantryman would be more fun and challenging.

If you like physical workouts and you think it would be fun and challenging by all means do infantry

how much of a bonus would i get for going active duty from reserve?

i am in iraq right now and want to go active duty. my mos is 37f(Psychological Operations) how much is the current bonus?(i am an e-4 with 5 years in service)
thanks for the answers but the career councilors here dont have anything to do with the reserve component. they hooked me up with the rcac(reserve component to active component) contact email, i was just trying to get some info on that bonus quicker ya know? thank you for your help.

You probably will not get a bonus. Hope for the best expect the worst.

If China’s economic growth destroys your countries economic system, then you are darn right it is a threat.

Are there any psychological side-effects to getting a vasectomy?

This is something I’ve been considering, and I’m curious if there are any psychological side-effects. I seem to recall something like this mentioned in a psychology course years ago, that there can be a diminshed sense of verility to a man who has this operation done, that may or may not contribute to impotence.

I’m just curious if there’s any grounds to this before proceeding with finding a doc, or if a vasectomy is something that should be skipped in lieu of other methods of birth control.

My brother works in the mental health field, so I asked him about this. Some men can get all emotional, about a vasectomy, and have issues. If you are the super alpha male egotistical type, that considers women inferior, then you might have issues with a vasectomy because such type tend to associate it with castration. They don’t feel “manly” if they can’t get a woman pregnant. They are just lamers. In other words %99.9 of men will never have a problem.

also, FYI i am going the process of becoming a police officer. I took my stake civil service exam, and i am taking to on call departments. what I am finding is, espicailly with on call units is they really don’t want to take mps right away since, they must unlearn the ucmj. Also Being told that combat arms is really the one
s eing picked up right now… This is just in my area, so it may be different….IE really 2 types of ex mil work in my state police, Marines and Army Infantry

An Infantry Officer (11)
Psychological Operations Officer (37)
Medical Corp Officer (62)
Engineer (21)

??????? I know it doesnt matter and that if i want it, its not gona matter what i choose, im just looking for some military experience’s opinion.

I several SF Officers, whose prior branch was infantry, MI, Arty, and even MP. Sure, infantry on the surface seems to be a logical choice. However, leadership is being calm under pressure is paramount. Therefore, as long as your weren’t AG, or something, it’ll be okay.

I would suggest that you choose a branch that you wouldn’t mind spending a career doing. what happens if you break your leg during training and have to go back to your basic branch? Contengency is key.

1.) Psychological Operations
2.) artillery mos
3.) intelligence mos
i was just looking at the sites and wanted info on whatever i found interesting. i dot mean working as all those mos the whole military career at one time but rather if one were to work in one of the given.

Special Operations Courses? (ongoing training)

Ok, so I’m looking into Psychological Operations (Psyop) for an MOS in the Army. The unit is the 4th out of Fort Bragg, and is part of the "Special Operations Community (SOC)." I’ve been told that Psyop soldiers (part of the SOC) can participate in SOC uniqe courses, or "SOC ongoing training." What kind of courses are these? I’ve heard of SERE and HALO, but what other courses are there? I read about evasive driving/ shooting? But thats all I really know of. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Those are classes that "MAY" be available if you make it to a team. Not everybody in USASOC can go through. It depends on the type of team you are in. As far as SERE, you definately will go through during the course/
