Are Republicans and Democrats ruining America by supporting economic planning and social engineering?
Yes, they are.
The difference between the Democrats and Republicans is sort of like the difference between Pepsi and Coke.
One might be a little sweeter, the other might have a little more fizz, but the main ingredients are all the same garbage.
Libertarianism, then, would be like Orange Juice. Delicious, healthy orange juice.
But the only options on the menu are Pepsi and Coke. (We had to bring our own OJ).
And while the left statists and the right statists argue about which brand of Statism Cola they like better, the libertarians are standing off to one side, sipping the Orange Juice of Liberty, and wondering why Orange Juice can’t be a choice on the menu for everyone.
Imagine if someone spent their whole life drinking nothing but Pepsi and Coke. Unaware of the existence of any other beverage options. Without any frame of reference, they would be able to notice many differences between Pepsi and Coke.
Only after trying something else, would they be able to see the similarities.
I think if more people got a chance to try the OJ, they would agree.
Cola sucks.
