-searches against the 4th ammendment

You are just coming to that conclusion now? Where have you been for the past 8 years? Illegal wiretapping, torture, renditions, strip searched at the airport, all your personal belongings rifled through and your body wanded and xrayed. This has been going on for a while.
Five years ago, my flight was cancelled and I had to get a one-way ticket on another airline. Apparently this sent up some red flags and TSA went through all my bags, my purse, my clothes, I had to take off my clothes to my undershirt and stockings, and be wanded over every inch of my body. I am a middle aged WASP female and they went through everything, even opening my lipstick and looking at it. How sick is that?

Hell yes, for quite some time. Those cameras and roadblocks let you know that you’re deep into the Orwellian infrastructure. Refuse and resist it until you are gone. I keep a pocket constitution on my dash to show them why I don’t consent to being searched. They will either leave you alone or violate your rights and do an illegal search, which should not hold up in court.

I agree that there has been a general weakening of certain rights, especially those regarding the fourth amendment, however, I don’t believe we’ve quite become a "Police State". The United Kingdom is a much better example of a nation "becoming" a police state.

We are and yes, there are now -100s- of statutes since the Bush administration that are clinically unconstitutional.
The ACLU and the EFF are fighting these and filing lawsuits related to them, but judges, fearing they won’t get promoted if they don’t do the govs bidding dismiss these suits on grounds that there is "secret information".

But, I think worse things are coming that are going to lead to government collapses, possibly the U.S., and after the government collapses things become "freer" again. Of course, you have to worry about getting ass-raped while your girlfriend is skull-f*cked by the local bully.

thanks to common every day people all over the U.S. our rights are being taking away a little every day. no one in america has the back bone to fight against authority any more. we live in a sissy society today, because the people have given up. yellow should be the color of our flag, not red, white, and blue. the government listened to one man doctor Spock and took away parents rights to discipline their children. the parents just through up their hands laid down and gave in. the Government listened to an atheist woman and took prayer out of schools, just through God a side, shortly after that the rest of the U.S. Kicked God out also. over the years since we have our People getting shot up in schools, malls, etc. and the children of the parents that gave up are the one doing the shooting. the government is taking away our freedom of speech, our freedom to own and carry a gun. people that said when that happens the government would pry their gun from their cold dead hand, just laying down, tucking their tails and running.
social services buts their nose into every ones business and has the americans scared to death, walking on egg shells about how to treat the kids. it goes on and on. the people of america is cowards plain and simple. I am an american born and raised, I am terribly ashamed to admit that.
