Punishing a student and making them clean a desk is one thing. Calling the cops is a whole other scenario.
It seems pretty obvious that the principal acted emotionally to this situation. He completely overreacted and acted unprofessionally. I think it is extremely plausible that her being ethnic aggravated the incident.

NO , if this ever happens to any of your kids, do what ever it takes to get an attorney FAST. Things that once were never crimes now are, when I was in school if 2 high school kids got into a fist fight the worst outcome was expulsion for the school year, now cops come and take the students to juvenile lock up for weeks
