Why is it you give a state police officer a badge & a gun and they think they are a god?
I have no problems with ANY other law enforcment agency except state police. Why do they think they are god?
I have never been pulled of for law breaking unless you think a little dust on a license plate is grounds for being pulled over. AND I do mean a little, you could read it at 40 feet!
Funny you people think I BROKE the law. I have seen more cops fall because of breaking the law than I ever will. I’m a retired firefighter. I worked close with them also.

Maybe they are obligated to stop you from doing whatever it is you’re doing to cause them to interact with you, and it pisses them off because you’re wasting their time and preventing them from dealing with real problems.

Well once you spend 4 years studying in college, Go through a rigorous selection process where they pick apart your personal and professional life, and make you sit down with a psychologist and take a physical fitness test, and then get to go to the police academy for more training and mental breakdowns.
Maybe that is why they feel good about themselves.

Uh Oh! Sounds like someone meet the business end of a state trooper. They are definitely not like city cops. They run by a different set of rules and policies. They have authority over city cops, and are run by the state. Their job is extremely dangerous. Most of the time they are completely alone.
They are tough for a reason. If you had to put up with idiots, drug runners, pursuits, accidents, fatality wrecks, and jerks who don’t know how to pull their car to the side of the HWY, you’d be that way to. Tough skin is a must for these men and woman. Let’s not forget to mention, most truckers thinking every access road is a parking lot.
If you had all that and more on your daily to do list, you’d probably have an attitude too.
It’s not just you they treat that way. Some look down on city cops for all they’ve accomplished in life. You can’t just go drop off an app and wait for a call. It is a rigorous selection process.
You are chosen, not just hired. They are elite officers, and deserve to be very proud.

Sounds like you, Mr Ferguson, and ME didn’t get their nap today. I can assure you a state trooper does not enjoy pulling you over. It puts his life at risk and causes him/her extra work.
So when a trooper pulls either one of you over it is because you are a risk to everyone around you. So clean yourself up, learn the rules and act like an adult.
And if you still feel that way, the next time you are in an accident on the highway or someone threatens you because you drive like an idiot, call your uncle Dwayne for help.

I guess it’s because they (like those gone before them) have some really macho image to maintain. In fact, that image of state police (in the US) is still portrayed on films produced in the US. Otherwise, why else would I have the same opinion as you of state police officers when I live in Australia?
In Australia, the same is said of Highway Patrol Police. My brother’s a cop and agrees with my comments.

I think you have the wrong impression of cops just because they pulled you over for your license plate not visible on the highway.
Sour graping said one of your forum guys who told you this. I think just follow the law is as simple as opening a tuna in a can or making a chicken sandwich. If you wash your car as often as you would to yourself then I donot think this arises to the complex situation that it did.
Cops donot think they are DEMI-GODS or something, they are just applying the law to the full extent of it, being them as the instrument to implement them. Since you donot have problems with any law enforcement agency then I think you are going in the right direction. Keep it up and stop accusing them on false pretenses. I am not a cop.
