What you don’t understand is that in Islam athiests are not even given the option of accepting subjugation (dhimmi). Your only option is to die or convert to Islam. Now, converting to Islam doesn’t mean you have a lot of freedoms. Sharia laws govern how you enter the bathroom, wipe your butt, when/how you pray, what you eat, etc. And you must wage Jiihad or at least support it with Muslim Charity (some of it is to go to waging violent war.
