how much of a bonus would i get for going active duty from reserve?
i am in iraq right now and want to go active duty. my mos is 37f(psychological operations) how much is the current bonus?(i am an e-4 with 5 years in service)
thanks for the answers but the career councilors here dont have anything to do with the reserve component. they hooked me up with the rcac(reserve component to active component) contact email, i was just trying to get some info on that bonus quicker ya know? thank you for your help.

I suggest going to speak with your Career Counselor to find out what all your options are to include any bonus’ you may get.
I just signed to go Active duty from the Guard and My Recruiter told me if I do a quick ship to AIT ( Changed my MOS) I would get 20,000.00 but My husband who is Active found that wasn’t true( MILPER) for Prior Service…That was in Sep , I suggest starting there if that doesn’t work contact a Recruiter online.. No matter what the bonus is; it’s not worth your life. Don’t do it. Go home as soon as you can. So many times; it’s just one more and I’ll go home. That one more time is the one that will do you in. Don’t do it.
I appreciate everyone who is fighting for the U.S. and has fought for us. A lot of times it’s some little stupid thing that gets them killed. Like relaxing a little and taking off their helmet outdoors; that’s when it happens; when their guard is down. Y’all lives are not worth loosing for a few minutes of "off your guard" time. Enough is enough.
Please tell the other guys what I said. You probably will think I’m crazy; but I saw that happen on "Band of Brothers".
Tell everyone when you think you are safe; you might not be. Be careful 24/7. I know it has got to be hard to do.
