PsyOps, is under SOCOM(special operations command) so you can expect to get the latest training in tactics and technology etc. and college would be a good idea, because learning new languages and such are invaluable to a soldier in PsyOps. I myself have never been in PsyOps, but i have read alot about it and i think that it would be a good job for you. So go to college and then join the Army, but, you could also do ROTC. and remember if the Army doesnt work out with the PsyOps deal, then if you have already gone through the training, you would probably have a good chance of working for the CIA.
hope that helped.
References :
my brain.

well i cant really answer much but i can give you a little heads up'.
psy op falls under so-com, which is the same thing as special forces, rangers and civil affairs fall under.

the training isn't going to be hard like your trying out for sf or anything
its almost like a normal unit except you get treated better and have the opportunity to go to different training schools being under so-com.

they are based at fort bragg, nc . and is a airborne unit- so get ready to get over your fear of heights cause you will be jumping out of a plane 1200 ft in the air. you will have to go to airborne school after AIT.

other then that im not exactly sure what they do..ive met a few of them but never really asked the question. i know/heard they work closely with civil affairs basically trying to "persuade" people using tricks and such to turn over the bad guys and all kinds of other things.
