USASOC | Jumpmaster Training Video | Actions in the Aircraft
I filmed this video to help out the new jumpmasters locate and identify the 1 minute check point the 30 second check point & Stand Bye time warnings on St Mere DZ. In the video you can see one of our recent Jumpmasters students Graduates. I’m showing him the ropes with Actions in the Aircraft. We really do this to get them more comfortable with the aircraft. When they graduate from Jumpmaster School they have only one JM in each aircraft once, this helps give them a warm and fuzzy feeling in this aircraft.
On our 1st pass you will see me throw a streamer to verify the panels. On the 2nd pass I sent out 3 wind dummies to reassure the streamer strike. On the 3rd Pass I’m sending out the VIP’s. We do these extra passes to ensure the VIP’s land on the Drop Zone. I edited the video down for time; it’s usually 7 minutes from takeoff to touchdown.

USASOC | Special Operations Jumpmaster Course | PWAC Final Grade
This is a video of the last two students of the USASOC Jumpmaster course 01-11. They have worked a grueling 4 weeks to be a “Special Operations Jumpmaster”. This is the final grade needed to graduate the course and be eligible for the coveted Jumpmasters Badge. They both received a GO.
As we were doing short; fast race tracks I identified the 1 minute check point. They did the rest; the 30 second check point & Stand Bye time warnings on St Mere DZ. I filmed, Jumpmastered, then jumped this H2O jump 20 days before I deployed to Afghanistan in September 2009. It was a great last jump before going downrange. I edited the video down for time; it’s usually 6 minutes from takeoff to feet wet. You can see as one of my B-7 life preserver failed to inflate properly. Torture Shredded? ‘UK govt can’t deny propaganda war’
The UK’s Ministry of Defence has admitted that electronic records of its soldiers’ day-to-day activities in Afghanistan are routinely wiped from computers. One lawyer has already said it ‘smacks of a cover up’. The disclosures were made at the public inquiry into the death of an Iraqi hotel receptionist. Baha Mousa died from multiple injuries while in the custody of British soldiers in 2003.
An MoD statement to the inquiry said there are gaps in the information because IT systems are routinely wiped when returned from operational deployments. Jim Brann from the ‘Stop the War Coalition’ says that ‘cover-ups’ for mishandled operations in Afghanistan may be even worse than those in Iraq.

A new bill quietly introduced by congress last week is causing quite a stir among civil liberties groups. The brainchild of senators John McCain and Joe Lieberman, the bill would give the United States government the power to indefinitely detain terror suspects without charge or trial. It would also allow the government to interrogate them for the intelligence value and it doesnt make a distinction between US citizens and non-citizens.
